Pukenamu Queens Park is at the heart of Whanganui’s cultural centre. It has a rich and diverse history however little of this is visually evident beyond its impressive collection of heritage buildings and structures set within expanses of lawn. Our design response weaves together the existing and untold stories of the park, and the vast history from the nearby Sarjeant Gallery.
Creating value, not just in the initial built outcome, but through a collaborative process and concept plan that offers ongoing opportunity to reveal and integrate the story of place.
Our design response weaves together a sustainable and regenerative landscape that will improve over time allowing for diversity of community life and the natural ecology that runs through it.
