The workplace reflects a balance of professional ambition and personal connection, creating an environment that blends the dynamic energy of work with the comfort and intimacy of a home. This project, which was delivered within a tight timeframe and modest budget, has exceeded our client’s expectations by focusing on a design that was both functional and community-focused, while incorporating sustainable practices throughout.
 

The space was developed around two core experiences that underpin the ‘Club House’ narrative:
 

Work-mode
A transformative space where professional energy, vision, and collaboration are central. This environment caters to high-energy group activities, brainstorming, and project collaboration.

Home away from home
A relaxed and personal space that nurtures community connections and provides quiet, dedicated focus areas.
 

Agile workstyles have been embraced, with areas that support a range of work modes - from focused, solitary tasks to dynamic, group-based activities. This adaptability was key to creating a space that accommodates diverse working styles while fostering a strong sense of community.
 

A strong commitment to sustainable design informed every aspect of the project, particularly in the selection of materials and furniture.

• Low VOC and FSC-Certified materials: All timber used in the project was FSC certified and low in VOCs. The choice of these materials ensured better indoor air quality and a reduced environmental impact.
• Timber framing: Instead of steel, timber framing was used for partition walls, significantly reducing the embodied carbon of the project.
• Recycling and waste reduction: A major effort was made to reduce waste during construction. Approximately 420kg of insulation waste was collected and sent for reuse and recycling through GreenStuf’s Takeback programme.
• Sustainable furniture: Many pieces of furniture were sourced from New Zealand suppliers, with a focus on environmental product performance. Notably, Harrows, a local supplier, provided front-of-house furnishings that are Global Green Tag certified, further supporting the project's sustainability goals.
• Greener office environment: The design also prioritised occupant wellbeing by incorporating high levels of natural light, a large investment in greenery and plants, and facilities that support wellness, prayer, and parenting.
