An elegant, enduring expression of modernism, grounded in context and shaped by place

Ataahua - Tasman House

This family residence commands expansive views of Golden Bay and showcases a sophisticated palette of luxurious materials, redefining coastal luxury.
A deliberately restrained material palette has been chosen to provide a timeless architecture grounded in place, cladding the entire ground floor in hand fettled local stone with the upper floor wrapped in operable aluminium screens assisting with privacy and solar control.
Internally insitu concrete walls, natural stone floors, polished plaster ceilings and a sculptural stair are arranged to strengthen the outcome, achieving a restorative and exemplary retreat for our clients and their guests.
